Placenta Prints

We are most definitely prepared for any reaction to the idea of placenta prints! EWWWW, GROSS! ... is the most common ... until people see the actual artwork.

A placenta print is a lovely artistic way to congratulate a unique organ on a hard job well done. We prepare a canvas with background designs and colours of your choice, and carefully prepare and ink your placenta and take an impression of it on the canvas.

There are many factors to taking a placenta print which may make it easier to leave to us, not least of all the squeamish factor.  We treat the placenta with respect from many different angles -
cultural, spiritual and medical safety handling.

Yes, we can take a print from a placenta which is currently frozen in your freezer and waiting for you to decide what to do with it!  We can also create 'pito pots' for you to bury your placenta in after a print has been taken, if you wish.
